Chepstow RFC

The first team headed away to New Panteg in hopes of getting back to winning ways. It’s always a tough encounter at New Panteg and this week was the same. The first half started with some back and forth periods of play with Rhys Brown opening the scoring with a try in the corner. An intercept saw our host bring things closer until Josh Morgan crashed over, running a great line. The second half started with a searing run from fullback Sam Thomas to set up Jon O’Neill. After a large period of pressure from the hosts, the scores were 24-22 with 90 seconds to play. Through great effort, Chepstow won a penalty and Josh Truckel held his nerve and slotted the winner.
